Sparrow Photo Competition

We’re holding a Sparrow photo competition!
Get your cameras ready and keep an eye out for Sparrows in Malta this summer to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes!

Here’s everything you need to know…

Who can enter?
The contest has two categories; adults, and under-12s. There will be a winner and two runners up for each category.

How do I enter?
To enter, send your photo(s) to [email protected], giving us the following information.

CATEGORY (Adult / Under-12)
YOUR PHONE NUMBER
YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
A CAPTION FOR YOUR PHOTO (optional)

Why do you want my details?
Your details will only be used to contact you regarding the photo competition and for the delivery of prizes. They will not be used for any other purpose, nor shared with any external party.

Can I enter more than once?
You may enter as many times as you like!

What can I win?
The adult winner will receive a goody bag, packed with bird-related treats, from books to posters, as well as having their photo published in BirdLife Malta’s member’s magazine! Plus a one-on-one wildlife photography workshop with one of BirdLife’s expert photographers!

The under-12s winner will receive a fun-packed goody bag, including a pair of bird-watching binoculars, a nature colouring book, and lots more!

Both winners and all runners up will win a beautiful Sparrow pin badge, and a large, professional print of their photo.

Please note that unfortunately, we are only able to deliver the photography workshop in Malta.

Who chooses the winner?
Finalists will be chosen by BirdLife, and then the final winner will be voted on by the public.

The finalists’ works will then be displayed in a public gallery, where you will be able to vote for your favourite. Voting will also be available online.
